On June 27th, 2011 at 4:57pm, Tiffany and Mark brought Patrick "Kennedy" Hamilton into the world. Kennedy is named after Tiff's Dad, Patrick Kennedy... we will call him "D" for short!!
This child birth was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience than the first one!! At 6:30am that morning, Tiff's contractions came on quick, strong, and close together. We got Cooper off to daycare and headed to the doctor's office to ensure this was the "real deal". The doctor confirmed that we were having a baby that day so we headed to the hospital! Everyone who says that you learn a lot from the first child birth experience is COMPLETELY RIGHT! As soon as we got to the hospital, Tiff requested an IV to get the fluids pumping in her as fast as possible so that the epidural could begin soon after! Tiff experienced about 3 hours of hard contractions and the doctor had a few issues getting the epidural going, however, by 11am, Tiff and Mark were relaxing and watching HGTV for the rest of the afternoon!! Again- TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience than bringing Cooper into the world!!
Around 4:30pm the doctor (Dr. Sandmier) said it was time to push!! After 5 rounds of pushing (12 minutes total), Patrick "Kennedy" Hamilton was born!! He weighed 8 lbs. 13 Oz. and 21 inches long (a little bigger than Cooper). He has blonde hair with a tint of RED and HUGE feet and hands(trying to be like his big brother from the start) . We honestly never knew we could love someone so much and so quick, AGAIN!
We stayed at the hospital until Wednesday morning... bringing Kennedy home for the first time wasn't quite as scary as it was with Cooper- again- we learned from the first experience!! We have been feeding him every 3 hours... we have to wake him up at night... we think he would sleep through the night already if we didn't wake him- he is such a good baby so far!!
Tiff has adjusted back to "non pregnant" life quickly... in fact- she had a baby on Monday, out of the hospital Wednesday, LONG walk with the dog and boys Wednesday night, at the gym lifting weights and working out Friday and Saturday!! Needless to say, Tiff was ready to be her active self again and is excited to fit into her "pre prego" jeans- ASAP!!
Speaking of adjustments... Cooper has had quite the adjustment to make with someone extra in the house requiring quite a lot of attention. Mark has done an amazing job giving Cooper all the attention he needs and deserves while Tiff loves on Kennedy. Cooper loves to say "Hi, Baby" to Kennedy and he pats his head. He likes to help take the dirty diapers to the trash and give Kennedy his pacifier when he cries. All and all, Kennedy is very blessed to have a big brother like Cooper and Cooper is very blessed to have a baby brother like Kennedy!!
Speaking of being bless... We can't thank everyone enough for all of the love and support throughout this amazing experience in our lives. Our friends and families have blessed us with love, support, prayers and gifts and we are forever thankful. We couldn't do survive without it!
