Cooper was supposed to have his 18 Month Doctor's Appointment on February 2nd, however, due to the snow storm that brought us almost 2 feet of snow- his appointment got rescheduled for February 4th. Dr. Omar said that Cooper looks great! He is measuring 33 3/4 inches tall (84th %) and he is 29 lbs 4 ounces big (86th %). In order to follow the tradition that has been happening since birth, Cooper continues to be in the 99th % for his head! We received great news from Dr. Omar- he is starting his own practice (still close to our house) and leaving the current practice. At first we thought he was going to tell us that he is leaving the Quad Cities... Thank God for more reasons than one that he is leaving the current practice and moving just down the street!! The current office that Dr. Omar works at has progressively gotten worst with LONG waiting periods on the phone just to talk to a nurse and LONG waiting periods in the office because they are always so far behind. I think Cooper (and Mommy and Daddy) will be A LOT happier with this new situation. We are anxious each day to wake up and get Cooper out of his crib to witness the new words and phrases he has learned to say. He yells from the kitchen all of the time "Momma (or Dada), it's stuck"... he means the refrigerator that he would live in if we let him. He has also started to sneak away into the corner and after a few minutes of being red-faced- he yells- "I pooped!" He can tell you and point at each of his body parts- nose, ears, eyes, fingers, toes, and "pee pee". By far our favorite moment with Cooper and this new world of having a "talking toddler" is Cooper's more recent bath time experience. He yells to Mommy and Daddy while pulling on his "pee pee"- "IT'S STUCK, IT'S STUCK"... HAHAHAHAHAHA... we had to tell him that, yes Coop- it's stuck and that's okay! Cooper's favorite pass time with Mommy is reading and pointing out every word that he knows in the book- doggie, ball, milk, baby, meow, "nana"- (banana)... His favorite pass time with Daddy is playing basketball and wrestling each other. Needless to say- we are having an amazing time watching Cooper grow!! 19 Month pictures coming soon.... For now- enjoy these "caught in action" photos...
