Cooper's Crazy Sayings...

Cooper just told Mark (after Mark was picking on him for a couple of minutes), "Off my back, Whitey!" Hahahahaha... Where does he get this stuff from!?  We never know what is going to come out of his mouth... such is a glorious life with this new 3 year old!

Cooper's 3 Year Doctor's Appointment!

Cooper’s THREE YEAR Appointment went great. Even with SHOTS-  it was smooth sailing and tear free! He weighs 36 lbs 8 oz (95%) and he is 40 inches tall (97%). Cooper always provides some serious entertainment for the nurses... he always shows off his good manners with his "thank yous", "pleases" and "your welcomes" so the nurses just eat him up!  When we got to the appointment with the boys (did Kennedy's 1 year and Cooper's 3 year at the same time), the nurse told us that she didn't think Cooper would need any shots... we were so relieved thinking it was going to bad enough with Kennedy needing shots!  Well- she was wrong and Dr. Omar informed us that he indeed need one shot.  Mark told Cooper that it was going to sting like a bee (Mommy was not thrilled with that approach in fear he would freak out at the sound of that)... Well- Coop got up on the bed for the nurse to give him his shot and DID NOT SHED A TEAR!  He told us that he was tough and it didn't even hurt!  We were such proud parents- to say the least!  Cooper wanted to hold Kennedy's hands while he got his shots to "help the baby".  Coop kept whispering in Kennedy's ear- "It's okay baby... it's okay... don't cry!" It was truly a sweet moment witnesses Cooper be such an awesome older brother!  

Kennedy's 1 Year Doctor's Appointment!

Kennedy’s ONE YEAR Appointment went great. Lots of SHOTS- but thankfully his big brother, Cooper was there to hold his hand (read Cooper's 3 Year Doctor's Appointment post to hear the full story).  He weighs 26 lbs  6 oz (90%) and he is 32 inches tall (95%). As Dr. Omar always points out- he has a HUGE head with lots of brains(90%- in fact ;-)- taking after his big brother! Kennedy now has 8 teeth TOTAL- 4 on the bottom and 4 on top... we are just getting used to the adjustment of looking at our baby with TEETH!! Haha!! Kennedy has been doing things a lot sooner than Cooper- thanks to Cooper showing him!  He has been walking since 10 months (Coop didn't start walking until 14 months) and he is getting into EVERYTHING. He loves to dance, tackle his brother (he grabs him from behind and whips his body back to pull him to the ground- thankfully Cooper thinks it's funny), and giggle at his brother's funny faces and noises.  Kennedy and Cooper are the best of friends and it has been amazing to watch their bond grow! Kennedy still LOVES sleeping face down berried into the mattress... still sleeping through the night (8pm-8am)- WHAT A BLESSING! All and all- we cannot believe that this past year flew by as our baby is now a TODDLER!!
