Cooper- 17 Months Old
Just like sand, Cooper wasn't so sure about what to do with the 2 feet of snow we got in a week's time.... Until his Daddy showed him how fun it was to throw it!! Cooper is 18 months old and a complete sponge!! Whatever we say or do, Cooper is right behind us saying and doing the same!! Needless to say, we need to watch what we say and do A LOT MORE now then we ever have before...
Cooper knows several words that he says very clear: Mommy, Daddy, Baby, Doggie, Kitty, and the most popular one lately- Pleeeaaasssee (simply because he doesn't get what he wants without saying it :-). Cooper is literally running all over the place (we are not sure he will every walk again) and LOVES to read books (we do not get a chance to read to him as often because he wants to change the pages quicker then you can even see the words).
Cooper LOVES yogurt (wants it for EVERY meal) and LOVES to take your hand and lead you everywhere he wants to go (usually to the refrigerator- SOO much like his Dad).
Cooper is still obsessed with BALLS... he plays catch and basketball with Mark almost every night... and if Mark isn't around, he plays fetch with the dog, Madison... as in Madison throws the ball up in the air with her mouth for Cooper and he runs to fetch it.
Cooper loves to lift up Tiff's shirt to show her belly and give Baby Hami #2 kisses. We are interested to see how this all plays out because he still loses it if Tiff holds another baby!!
Cooper spends some quality time in "Time-Out" for being naughty... one day he spent so much time there that if we said- "Cooper's going to "Time-Out" then he would walk himself right over there... Haha!!
Overall, this has been the most amazing age yet (we feel like we say that every milestone)... he wakes up each morning with something new on his mind and we cannot wait to figure that out everyday!!
Cooper will be 18 Months soon... 18 Month Appointment is on February 2nd, 2011... Keep you posted!!

Cooper's going to be a BIG BROTHER!!
Yep- you read it right!! We are expecting Baby Hami #2!! Cooper is going to be a BIG BROTHER!! Official Due Date is June 28th, 2010. We were blessed with an early chance to see Baby Hami #2 today- he or she is measuring a week ahead and looks pretty good so far!! Even though we did not find out if Cooper was a boy or a girl (Mark's request), we will find out if Baby Hami #2 is a boy or a girl (Tiff's request). More pictures of proof that Baby Hami #2 is growing quick in Tiff's belly will follow... Stay tuned!!

Cooper's First Trip to the West Coast!!
The last time Cooper saw an ocean was for Tiffany's best friend, Katie's, wedding in Connecticut over Easter Break in April. After an amazing trip, we ended up getting blessed with 2 extra FREE tickets to travel anywhere in the U.S. for being willing to take a later flight home. What better way to spend those tickets then to head to the other ocean so that Cooper can tell his friends someday that he saw both oceans in one year!!
Mark's best friend, John Quail and his wife, Sarah, were hospitable enough to have us stay with him in California for a long weekend. The weather was amazing (70's the whole time we were there) and the fact that we were within walking distance from the beach made it even better!!
Cooper wasn't so sure about the beach at first... in fact, he was so unsure about the beach that he started walking back to the car on his own!! After we showed him that the sand is fun when you throw it, well- we had issues leaving the beach after that!!
Mark's best friend, John, is a Marine and was kind enough to show us where he worked in San Clemente, CA- Cooper was just wondering where he could get one of those cool uniforms Uncle Quail was wearing!! To our surprise, his wife, Sarah, had something special for Cooper waiting for him when he got back to their house.
We spent a lot of time at the beach (as anyone who is currently living in Iowa would do if given the opportunity in DECEMBER) and even made it to Hollywood for a day. Of course, to celebrate Tiffany's 30th Birthday, we all hit up Hooters (Mark and John's request) so Cooper could know what it's like to hang with the big boys (and big boobies)... Haha!! I think Cooper ended up showing Mark and John about his fun (coloring) more then they showed Cooper their fun (drinking).
All and all, our trip to California was amazing- special thanks to The Quails!!

Cooper Meets Santa as a Toddler....
Our good friend, Kate and Tom (and their son, Max)- from Davenport invited us to a lovely Church Gathering where Santa was going to come visit to make sure all of the kids were behaving... Cooper had a blast coloring, playing with balloons, and listening to Santa's helper read some stories... All fun and games until a large, white-bearded man dressed in red comes through the door and Cooper's fun came to a screeching halt!! We placed Cooper on Santa's lap without Cooper realizing it at first... Cooper looked back to find out what was going on... and, well- the rest you will get from the picture!! Merry Christmas to all!!
